WHO IS AJ?

AJ is a self-proclaimed media weirdo who's delusions of grandeur borderline on the insane. However, growing up in the Southern U.S. and being relatively disconnected from the world has given AJ a different perspective on stories, media, music, and creativity in general. This mid-twenties college grad enjoys the cheesy to the serious and relishes in learning, teaching, creating, and one day being able to pay off their student loans. Impossible, you say?

Video Production/Editing

Although I prefer Adobe Premiere Pro as my video editor of choice, I've worked with Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, Lightworks, AVID and even some open-source software such as Blender.

I love editing, and I've completed everything from personal vlogs, short films, to music videos. If it needs to be focused, trimmed, and compiled together, I can do it.

Audio Production/Editing

The standard audio workstation of choice for studios abroad is the powerhouse that is ProTools, but there is something to be said for an extremely customizable, versatile, and well supported DAW called REAPER.

Though I generally prefer REAPER as my main go-to DAW for my audio work, I am able to work with ProTools, StudioOne, Reason, or any other DAW.

Currently, I'm using Reaper to record my podcast "mystrangepodcast"! Available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Anchor, Google Podcasts, PocketCasts, Radio Public, Stitcher, and Breaker.

I also self-produce my personal music utilizing REAPER (Early Demos can be found here), and a lot of the of the audio from my video work (unless stated otherwise) was created and edited in REAPER.

Cameraman

I have used Canon/Panasonic/Sony DSLR cameras, as well as the occasional Broadcast level camera and their controls.

I've filmed spontaneous interviews, setup and composed camera shots for short films, news pieces, and follow camera work for live broadcasts.

I'm also very interested in trying any different camera and camera setup that I can gain new experience with, as well as working with different camera rigs and the workflow between them and various editing and post-production software.
